A very warm and rather humid, summery day to come across the United Kingdom. Some rain to come across western Scotland. Any low cloud an mist is expected to clear then much of Britain will be dry and bright with more sunshine. More cloud to come in the west this afternoon with a risk of a few sharp showers. Most central and eastern areas should stay dry with some hazy spells of sunshine. Cooler around the coasts this afternoon. We're expecting top temperatures of 20 to 27C north to south.

There remains the risk of showers across North Wales, north west England, Northern Ireland and western Scotland for much of the evening but these mostly fade by tonight. For central, eastern and southern parts of England expect a fine evening with lots of late sunshine to come. Overnight it stays dry with clear spells and some patchy low cloud and mist. A warm and muggy night with minimums of 13 to 19C.
